This month’s newsletter contains biographies from property owners governed by the ‘87 Covenants who are running for election to the StillWaters Residential Association Board of Directors.  This year there are three positions on the Board that are up for election.  I encourage you to read their biographies, contact the candidates and get to know them so that you can make an informed decision when you vote. The Board of Directors governs StillWaters and it is in your best interest that the best three candidates are elected.  Only property owners governed by the ‘87 Covenants and in good standing with SWRA can vote in the election. 

As of the printing of this newsletter we have seven candidates for the Board of Directors.  Five were chosen by the Nominating Committee and two are running by petition.  Any property owner who has property under the ‘87 covenants and is in good standing with the StillWaters Residential Association can run for the Board of Directors by petition. The petition must be received in the SWRA office by February 7, 2012.  Please contact me at the SWRA office if you have any questions concerning the Board of Director’s election.   

We have several different covenants that govern property in StillWaters.  Every covenant prohibits trailers from being parked on the property.  This includes boat trailers, utility trailers, golf cart trailers, etc… A trailer must be parked in a garage or carport not in the yard.  Please remove any trailer that is parked on your property or place it in a garage/carport.  SWRA has trailer storage available on Stage Coach Road for a very low annual fee.  Every property owner’s trailer we locate that is violating the covenants is a potential legal expense.  Help me keep our legal cost low by adhering to the covenants. 

The 2012 automobile window decals are available at the SWRA office.  Window decals will also be mailed to all ‘87 Covenant holders along with the ballots for the Board of Director’s election.  Please apply your new window decal to the windshield on the drivers’ side of your automobile when you receive them. 

We have been enjoying a warmer than usual winter.  The long term forecast for February indicates that temperatures will be above average.  This warmer weather is great for playing a round of golf or a nice walk down to the marina.  Make sure you remember your special valentine on February 14^th.  There are several great local restaurants within five minutes of StillWaters that are just perfect for that special date with your valentine on February 14^th.
